Hitting the road for the second autumn in a row, Norfolk VA soulful folkie, Skye Zentz, is packing up her ukuleles and dress up clothes, and bringing her tunes to a living room near you. This year, Skye is putting a new spin on getting up close and personal with her audience by booking all private house shows. Each show will have its own "dress up" theme and Skye will award prizes to the most creative costume at each show! Guests are welcome to bring snacks to share. Come out for an acoustic show, jampacked with joy, singalongs, and good looking people in funny outfits that they wouldn't normally wear! (RSVP to your show of choice underneath the photo below. In a year punctuated with pivots, twists and turns- it seems to be an apropos era for new projects and artistic endeavors. GrimBright is Skye Zentz’s new eerie synthpop project, woven from the lore of old fairy tales and folk legends, and coupled with ethereal, driving rhythms! GrimBright carries the truths of powerful female narrators, from Evil Queens to Not so Little Red Riding Hoods, unveiling new perspectives on these well known characters with a fresh, modern edge. Entirely self recorded, mixed and mastered, this release marks the first of Zentz’s projects where she is acting as Artist, Engineer and Sole Producer.
